This position is open for recruitment and fully funded following the 2025 Special Legislative Session.
The role:
Join us as the community charging rebates program manager in our Climate Office. In this role, you will develop and implement the
Community Charging Rebates program
to support the transition to zero emission vehicles. You will establish plans, processes, procedures and guidance for distributing funds for community-based charging You will also work on program development and implementation, public engagement, project selection and administration as well as coordinating across ODOT Divisions on budgeting, monitoring and reporting. A day in the life:
- Manage the Community Charging Rebate Program to enhance access to electric vehicle charging throughout Oregon.
- Develop and update program policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure effective distribution of funds.
- Oversee application review, project selection and award tracking to maintain compliance and budget balance.
- Review applications to ensure that they meet the criteria for allowable applicants and projects, that federal funds are used appropriately and that awards remain within established budget limits.
- Manage the program budget in coordination with other Climate Office staff.
- Review applicable federal laws, rules and regulations to ensure the Climate Office funding program procedures and guidance align with federal requirements.
- Coordinate with the Climate Office and other state agencies to align with statewide climate and electrification strategies.
- Work in an office environment with hybrid work options. In-person meetings or office work are expected at least eight times a year based on business needs. Occasional travel, primarily within Oregon and possibly involving overnight stays, may also be required.

- The salary range listed is the non-
PERS
monthly salary range. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible,
the salary range will increase

Minimum qualifications:
Six years of planning experience related to the job;
OR
A bachelor's degree in urban or regional planning, public administration, social science, civil engineering, architecture, economics, geography or a related field AND three years of progressively responsible planning experience related to the job;
OR
An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience.
Note: A master's degree in regional planning, public administration, social science, civil engineering, architecture, economics, geography or a related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
