Overview

We are seeking a
Client Compensation Specialist
to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and investigative skills who enjoys problem-solving and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in researching and resolving complex advisor compensation cases, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.

This position requires curiosity, initiative, and the ability to navigate ambiguity—perfect for someone who thrives on finding answers and improving processes. There is a steep learning curve, and full proficiency typically develops within the first year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process
    compensation sharing arrangements
    for new and existing advisors.
  • Investigate and resolve
    complex compensation issues
    , including corrections, adjustments, and institutional payout requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally
    with teams such as Registration, Service, QA, Transitions, Business Consulting, and Commissions Service to ensure seamless resolution of advisor requests.
  • Prioritize cases based on complexity, urgency, and business impact in a
    high-volume environment
    .
  • Support
    onboarding and migration projects
    for new offices and other department initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain
    thorough documentation
    and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate proactively with advisors and internal partners to ensure clarity, transparency, and resolution of inquiries.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience
    in Accounting, Finance, or a related financial services role.
  • Experience in commissions or compensation processing
    strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree
    preferred.
  • Technical proficiency
    in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word); experience with
    Oracle
    and
    Documentum
    a plus.
  • Additional experience with
    ASAT, Salesforce, Visio, Adobe Professional, or Siebel
    is beneficial.
  • Strong
    analytical and prioritization skills
    , with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent
    problem-solving and investigative abilities
    ; a natural curiosity to understand the "why" behind data and processes.
  • Effective
    verbal and written communication
    skills; able to interact confidently with advisors and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable
    , capable of thriving under pressure and adjusting to changing business needs.
