Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Leader to oversee landscaping and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, lawn care, and landscape maintenance, with the ability to lead a team effectively. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety protocols on-site. The Crew Leader will play a vital role in delivering exceptional outdoor environments for our clients while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise a team of landscape technicians to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
  • Plan daily work schedules and assign tasks based on team members' skills and project requirements
  • Operate and maintain various hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely and effectively
  • Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation setup, and garden care
  • Oversee the installation and repair of irrigation systems and ensure proper functioning throughout the season
  • Conduct routine inspections of work sites to ensure quality standards are met and safety procedures are followed
  • Communicate with clients regarding project progress, concerns, or special requests
  • Assist with training new team members on proper techniques, safety practices, and equipment use

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related outdoor maintenance fields
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care, gardening, and landscape maintenance techniques
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely
  • Leadership skills with experience supervising or leading a team preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
  • Pesticide applicators license for spraying fungicides and spreading fertilizer
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
