Responsibilities

  • Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, cycle counting, and updating the warehouse management system (WMS) or AS400 platform.
  • Assist with order picking and packing using RF scanners to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Handle shipping and receiving duties by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods, and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Support warehouse distribution activities by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and materials handling.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by participating in warehouse supervisor initiatives related to inventory management, mechanical troubleshooting, or process optimization.

Requirements

  • Must have forklift experience and or valid certification for forklift operation;
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and tools used for stocking, packaging, or heavy lifting.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating heavy equipment safely.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for materials handling and warehouse safety.
  • Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and stock accuracy.
