Cricket Wireless is seeking a dynamic and bilingual (English/Spanish) Area Sales Manager to lead our retail and B2B sales efforts in Columbia, South Carolina. This role is essential in driving business growth through strategic territory management, customer engagement, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong outside sales experience, management skills, and a passion for technology sales. As a key representative of the brand, you will develop new business opportunities, manage existing accounts, and ensure exceptional customer service across your designated territory.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute outside and inside sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets within the Columbia area.
- Manage a portfolio of retail locations and B2B clients, ensuring consistent growth through effective territory management and lead generation.
- Conduct product demos and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting features and benefits of Cricket Wireless offerings.
- Develop new business opportunities via cold calling, networking, and community engagement to expand market presence.
- Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and analyze sales data for strategic planning.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with retail partners and business clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement promotional campaigns tailored to local market trends.
- Train and mentor team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities within the territory to identify market opportunities and threats.
Experience
- Proven success in outside sales, B2B sales, or territory management within the technology or retail sectors.
- Strong background in management or business development roles with experience leading teams or projects.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for account management and sales analysis.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing high-value deals.
- Exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish; bilingual proficiency is required.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads through cold calling, networking, or other direct sales methods.
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and analysis skills to optimize sales performance.
