SHIFT was founded in 2005 and quickly established software testing as an industry. We pursued increased efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement by dividing the conventional operations of engineers into the development and testing parts. We credit ourselves for developing test engineers as specialized professionals for handling the testing part.

Objectives & Responsibilities

  • Develop prototypes as part of the DAAE department
  • Lead projects from the planning stage and utilize modern technologies to enhance user experience
  • Collaborate with service directors and UX designers to create system prototypes, from web services to ERP
  • Participating in requirements gathering, definition, and implementation

Requirements & Qualifications

Must Have

  • Business level Japanese
  • Experience in development from the requirement definition phase
  • Experience in modern languages, not legacy languages such as PHP, C, C# or Java
  • Experience in multiple languages, not specializing in one language
  • Knowledge of some of the following technologies:

Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, Docker

Back-end: NodeJS, Go, Python

Front-end: Typescript, React

Mobile: Flutter

Nice to Have

  • Experience in PWA development
  • Understanding of design practices
  • 0 to 1 development experience
  • Agile development experience
  • Experience as a scrum master or tech lead
