This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.

As an Operator I, Warehouse & Distribution Operations you will be responsible for handling tasks in warehouses and distribution centers, optimizing storage and material flows, and managing inventory and shipments. You will operate equipment, requiring technical skills and adherence to procedures.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Receiving incoming materials or preparing materials for shipment.
• Verifying quantity, weight, and conformance of materials.
• Preparing records of materials shipped & bills of lading, and routing materials to their destinations.
• May layout, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment.
• Bringing up technical issues and systemic needs/challenges promptly.
• Requires strong attention to detail and heightened focus on quality and compliance along with strict adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report all discrepancies immediately.
• Responsible for adhering to safety policies/procedures and ensuring work areas are clean and free of hazards or dangerous conditions under health, safety, and environmental standards.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Work hours: 2nd shift; Monday – Friday; 11:00 AM CST – 8:00 PM CST

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Prior Manufacturing or Distribution Center Experience
