About the Role:
The Maintenance Technician with HVAC Certification at Parq at Cross Creek plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and safety of all building systems within the residential community. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems, as well as other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. The technician will contribute to maintaining a comfortable and safe living environment for residents by promptly addressing maintenance requests and preventing system failures. Collaboration with property management and other maintenance staff is essential to prioritize tasks and support community needs effectively. Ultimately, this role ensures the longevity and efficiency of property assets, enhancing resident satisfaction and operational excellence.
Minimum Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Valid HVAC certification or license recognized by the state.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems relevant to residential properties.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Experience working in residential property maintenance or real estate management environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts as needed.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues within residential units and common areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls to minimize downtime and resident inconvenience.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to ensure compliance and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with property management and vendors to coordinate larger repairs, upgrades, and system installations.
Skills:
The required HVAC certification and maintenance skills are applied daily to inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Electrical and plumbing knowledge supports the technician in addressing a wide range of maintenance issues beyond HVAC, enabling comprehensive property upkeep. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential for diagnosing system failures quickly and implementing effective solutions to minimize disruption. Communication skills facilitate clear interaction with residents, property management, and vendors, ensuring maintenance activities are well-coordinated and documented. Preferred skills such as familiarity to track work orders and manage maintenance schedules efficiently, contributing to proactive property management.
