We are looking for a Production Supervisor/Lead for our 2nd shift

Hours: 4pm-2am / 4 (ten) hour shifts. Overtime required, as needed

The Production Supervisor/lead is responsible to manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules. Guide and coach employees, monitoring their productivity. Oversee safe use of equipment. Perform verification of production output according to the plan.

Essential/Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Following all safety requirements, safety policy and company policy, report any observed violation to the superior or hazardous situation to the Safety Committee
  • Fostering and encouraging safe practices on the shop floor
  • Active participation and report work related safety concerns to the safety committee
  • Maintaining morale and general attitude of the shift, developing and maintain a team atmosphere
  • Provide support to your team to insure they meet the stated objectives
  • Organize training opportunities for team
  • Monitor performance and utilization of labor
  • Ensure work center preparation and line clearance is complete prior to job start
  • Managing the daily schedule to make sure that parts are shipped in full on time
  • Providing feedback to scheduling from the shift on a frequent basis during the day
  • Oversee setting up jobs/molds in presses (changeovers)
  • Dealing with personnel issues on the shift as needed
  • Enforcing policies and procedures
  • Perform evaluations on personnel
  • Communicate the needs and organize equipment availability for service departments
  • Other duties assigned by management

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School or equivalent
  • At least 2+ years of supervisory experience with a proven track record of motivating a team.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must be familiar with ERP type systems in terms of entering data and running reports to measure shift metrics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
