Senior Software Engineering Lead

Our mobile footprint has grown significantly — we have leading utility app titles in the App Store and Google Play markets and continue to expand our subscription-driven, cloud-enabled features and platforms.

We are searching for a very senior, hands-on Software Engineering Lead to help guide our mobile and backend implementations, mentor a small engineering team, and deliver scalable, secure technology across our app ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team (iOS, Android, QA, test automation, data ops)
• Architect, design, and deliver end-to-end mobile and backend systems (Swift/ObjC, Kotlin/Java, Go)
• Own user identity & authentication (Firebase Authentication, OAuth2, JWT/tokens, entitlement & account models)
• Guide modernization: potentially lead a migration from native to hybrid, as well as expand into app-web/web-app (external) monetization
• Review and improve existing architecture and code quality standards
• Oversee AWS-based infrastructure: RDS, EC2, S3, SES, IAM
• Work closely with product and leadership on roadmap, estimates, and execution
• Establish engineering processes: CI/CD, automation, monitoring, code reviews
• Support release management, QA strategy, manual and automated testing, and performance practices
• Be a key technical contributor—this is both a leadership and hands-on engineering role

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years professional software engineering experience
• 5+ years native mobile development (Swift/ObjC + Kotlin/Java)
• 3+ years technical and/or architect lead responsibility
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other engineers, product management and other technical/project contributors across our organization
• Proven experience shipping and supporting consumer mobile apps at scale
• Strong experience with identity & authentication systems, preference for experience with Firebase Authentication
• Experience building and maintaining backend services (GoLang and PostgreSQL a must)
• Solid AWS experience (RDS, EC2, S3, SES, IAM)
• CI/CD, Git workflows, automated testing frameworks

• Other platforms: Paddle, CleverTap, AppsFlyer
• Have migrated legacy paid apps to subscription models
• Instrumentation & analytics experience
• Data pipelines or ETL exposure
