Role Overview

This position combines oversight of core accounting operations with responsibility for maintaining and improving the company's financial systems and reporting tools. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Manager will ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting while also designing and implementing solutions that improve data integrity, automation and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & financial reporting

Oversee daily accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations.

Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close and prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts and variance analyses.

Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate journal entries and account reconciliations.

Assist with tax filings, coordinate internal and external reporting requirements and maintain internal controls.

Financial systems & reporting tools

Serve as the liaison between finance and IT, building and maintaining financial reporting dashboards using SQL, Power BI or similar tools.

Identify accounting pain points and translate them into software solutions; automate workflows such as reconciliations, inter‑company transactions and reporting to reduce manual effort and errors.

Ensure system compliance with accounting standards and data‑security best practices.

Train accounting staff on systems usage and new features, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and digital literacy.

Leadership & collaboration

Supervise, mentor and develop accounting staff to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Collaborate with the Controller, IT and senior management to support company‑wide initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred but not required.

4+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities and working with financial/ERP systems in a technical or hybrid finance role.

Solid understanding of accounting methods and financial reporting standards.

Technical proficiency with SQL, financial reporting tools, automation scripts and integration technologies; advanced Excel skills are expected.

Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
