Description:
Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Materials Manager for their facility in Horsham PA. They are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented professional to join their team and contribute to their continued success and industry reputation. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of managing multiple priorities, and committed to delivering results with precision and professionalism. This role requires a strong sense of ownership and accountability for projects and processes.

This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities

  • Lead teams responsible for all material-related functions, including incoming inspection, inventory management (stockroom and production floor), and reject control.
  • Oversee the incoming inspection process for all materials and components, ensuring timely evaluation and compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to communicate and resolve material-related issues.
  • Ensure efficient inventory organization and 24/7 distribution of materials to support production needs.
  • Manage materials reconciliation processes to maintain inventory accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and control rejected materials, ensuring proper documentation and timely disposition.
  • Partner with the Procurement Manager to coordinate the return of rejected materials identified during production.
  • Support accounting efforts related to recovered materials.
  • Prioritize workload effectively and maintain a high level of operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing materials in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001-certified organization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Personable, motivated, and proactive with a strong sense of initiative.
