Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver's license, experience with commercial driving, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Safely operate cargo van and other delivery vehicles.
  • Load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipment as needed.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at customer locations.
  • Deliver packages to customers' specified locations while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, stock organization, and moving supplies.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or issues.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience.
  • Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients.
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicle.
  • Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
  • Physical ability for heavy lifting, moving cargo, and performing manual tasks throughout the day.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving and cargo handling.
  • Good navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools.
  • Valid driver's license, this role is vital in ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and in excellent condition while maintaining safety standards across all operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
