What You'll Do
- Provide 1:1, play-based developmental support to infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) in their natural environments (home or community). West LA, Culer City, Westchester area, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Gardena & nearby communities,
- Design and implement engaging, goal-based activities tailored to each child's developmental needs.
- Partner with families to build confidence, understanding, and engagement in their child's progress.
- Monitor and document progress across all developmental domains — communication, motor, cognitive, social-emotional, and adaptive.
- Prepare and submit timely evaluations, quarterly reports, and program plans.
- Travel to family homes within your assigned service area.
- Collaborate with Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapists to ensure a comprehensive, team-based approach.
Who You Are
You are compassionate, dependable, and deeply committed to helping children and families succeed. You thrive in diverse environments, connect easily with caregivers, and understand that meaningful progress starts with trust and empathy.
You meet one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Human Development, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field and 1 year of experience working with infants or toddlers.
- Associate's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience.
- 24 semester units in a relevant field and 3 years of experience.
Additional Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred (eligible for stipend).
