About the BuildingWe are a luxury condominium located in the heart of Jersey City, offering residents first-class amenities and a clean, well-maintained living environment. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter to join our building operations team.Job SummaryThe Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of all common areas throughout the property. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for residents and guests.Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of all common areas including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, recycling rooms, compactor rooms and amenity spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as required.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recycling properly from designated collection points.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and other shared facilities.
  • Assist with snow removal, exterior grounds cleaning, and light maintenance as needed.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the building management team.
  • Support building staff during resident move-ins, deliveries, and events.
  • Maintain supplies and cleaning inventory.

Qualifications

  • Previous cleaning or porter/janitorial experience (luxury residential or hotel environment preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $17–$19/hour based on experience
