Job Title: Hospitality & Bar Manager 

Position Overview:
The position will serve as the Manager on Duty (MOD), responsible for overseeing evening operations of the hotel and bar, ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth coordination across all departments in the absence of the General Manager. This hands-on leadership role focuses on maintaining an energetic and professional bar environment while supporting hotel front desk, bar service, and guest relations.

The MOD ensures all nightly procedures run efficiently—from supervising bar and restaurant staff to resolving guest concerns, managing cash handling, and maintaining safety and service standards. This position requires a confident leader with strong beverage knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee hotel front desk, guest services, housekeeping, and work with the restaurant manager on operations.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by training and coaching staff on service standards.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations across hotel and restaurant teams.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency and efficiency.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, labor costs, and inventory control.
  • Partner with the kitchen and restaurant leadership to ensure seamless food and beverage service.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations.
  • Support marketing initiatives, local partnerships, and community engagement.
  • Lead by example, maintaining a visible presence on the floor and in guest-facing areas.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably in a hotel with food & beverage operations.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting,      forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in property management systems (PMS),      restaurant POS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • This position is primarily evenings. The ability to have a flexible schedule, including availability to work nights, weekends,      and holidays, is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the property for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform tasks requiring physical mobility.
  • Must be comfortable working in varied environments (indoor, outdoor, kitchen, guest areas).
