Industrial Color is seeking a Freelance Assistant Producer to partner with our dynamic photo production team supporting our client onsite in midtown Manhattan and Red Hook Brooklyn. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, world-class creative environment producing exceptional visual assets for one of the most prestigious names in art and luxury.

About the Role

Our production team manages a high-volume, multi-studio operation—running approximately 20 sets daily across multiple locations, as well as on-location productions. The Assistant Producer will provide essential support to our full-time production team, helping to ensure each shoot runs seamlessly from planning through delivery.

You'll work closely with producers, photographers, and the client's internal teams to help manage logistics, track assets, and maintain clear communication across all moving parts. Responsibilities


• Support day-to-day photo production operations across multiple studios and locations

• Assist producers with scheduling, call sheets, and coordination of shoot logistics

• Communicate effectively with internal teams, freelancers, and client stakeholders

• Help manage studio resources, equipment, and set turnover for multiple concurrent shoots

• Track production deliverables and ensure smooth workflow between creative, retouching, and asset management teams

• Anticipate production needs and provide on-the-ground problem-solving support


• 2–4 years of experience in photo production or studio operations (agency, in-house, or set experience preferred)

• Strong understanding of commercial or editorial photo workflows

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and comfort working directly with clients

• Calm under pressure and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with production scheduling tools and digital asset management systems a plus

The freelance assistant produce rate is $400/day.
