Job Overview

IP Administrator (Patent)
to support attorneys and clients in
domestic patent prosecution
. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with hybrid expectations for those within a commutable distance. The ideal candidate will bring a
minimum of three years of patent prosecution experience
, strong organizational skills, and exceptional
attention to detail
. This is a collaborative role that thrives in a
team-based, service-oriented environment
.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree
    preferred.
  • 3–6 years of domestic patent prosecution experience
    , preferably in a
    law firm
    environment.
  • Strong understanding of
    patent prosecution terminology, procedures, and workflow
    .
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication skills
    .
  • High level of
    accuracy, organization, and problem-solving ability
    .
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a
    fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
    .
  • Skilled in
    MS Outlook, Word, Excel
    , and relevant
    intellectual property software
    .
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to workload demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and file
    domestic patent prosecution
    documents with the
    USPTO
    .
  • Maintain
    patent dockets
    , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely deadlines.
  • Organize and safeguard
    electronic files and intellectual property records
    .
  • Review and process
    incoming correspondence
    and client instructions according to firm policies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Utilize
    Microsoft Office Suite
    and
    IP management software
    to handle filings, correspondence, and reports.
  • Conduct research using resources like the
    USPTO website
    , firm intranet, and MPEP.
  • Provide
    practice support and administrative assistance
    to attorneys and clients.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members when needed.
  • Participate in
    special projects, pilot programs, and technology implementations
    .
