We are currently seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator/Project Manager to join our team and drive the estimating department to new heights. Key Responsibilities:

Project Analysis: Review architectural, structural and interior design drawings and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.

Estimating: Accurately calculate material, labor and equipment costs for commercial drywall projects.

Quantity Takeoffs: Perform detailed takeoffs to determine the exact quantities of materials needed.

Bid Preparation: Create comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for potential clients, including clarifications to scope and job specific requirements.

Subcontractor and Vendor Management: Solicit, evaluate and negotiate bids from subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing.

Client and Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects and engineers to clarify project details and provide expert guidance.

Bid Follow-Up: Call contractors after the bid process to determine bid results and standing. Maintain contact and develop relationships for repeat business.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, contracts and other project-related documents.

Change Order Management: Process, submit and track change orders as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks and uncertainties in projects. Visit project site periodically to maintain perspective of job progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in drywall estimating software (QuickBid and On-Screen Takeoff).
  • Strong knowledge of commercial drywall, framing and finishing systems.
  • Excellent analytical and organizations skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction project lifecycles.
  • Maintain professionalism and integrity in company business.
