We are seeking an experienced Construction Senior Estimator to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial and institutional projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction means and methods, materials, and market pricing, with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed takeoffs.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in value engineering and cost optimization efforts.
  • Maintain and update cost databases and unit price information.
  • Lead and mentor junior estimators, ensuring consistency and quality across all estimates.
  • Support preconstruction and management teams with budgeting and pricing strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction estimating for general contracting or construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and trade scopes.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
