This is a remote opportunity with a preference for candidates located in or near Dublin, OH, as occasional on-site presence will be required.

Job Summary:

Initiates the discovery sales process for new business which includes prospecting, gathering information from the prospective client and other sources to enable the organization to present the most appropriate rate, benefits, and solutions to meet the needs of the client.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies and engages prospective clients through outreach and broker partnerships. Builds rapport and trust through consultative discovery, relationship building, and ongoing engagement with clients and the broker community.
• Leads the sales process including needs assessment, gathering information and submitting RFPs, and negated. Collaborates with internal teams to deliver tailored, strategic solutions that meet client objectives.
• Maintains accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in CRM system.
• Entertains prospective clients/brokers as required.
• Stays current with licensure and new legislation. Reads and researches new innovations that are taking place within the industry and Medical Mutual and helps train the Team on this new information.
• Ensures a smooth implementation of new business.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or healthcare.
• Equivalent education and experience directly related to the role may substitute for a degree.
• 5 years sales experience in the health insurance industry.
• 3 years experience working in a broker distribution environment preferred.

Professional Certification(s):

• Accident, Health, and Life License with Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) (required to obtain within 4 months of hire).

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of health insurance products, healthcare funding arrangements, health insurance industry and related laws/regulations.
• Intermediate MS Office Skills.
• Ability to apply discovery sales process.
