Job Summary
This is an on-site support role, located in our Seattle office, designed to facilitate the efficient execution of consulting project administrative functions. The Project Coordinator will undertake both routine and ad hoc activities that promote team and project organization, communications, compliance, analysis, and reporting. The Project Coordinator will likely support more than one team and numerous projects simultaneously.
Säzän Group provides diverse yet interrelated consulting services for the built environment. Säzän Group's services require client contact and effective communication with external consultants so the ability to communicate effectively, rapidly, assimilate the technical nature of our services, and appreciate value to our clients is essential. This is primarily an office-based position to help facilitate consistent communications and resource management, but occasional travel for site visits may occur. This is an entry level role that prepares the incumbent for multiple pathways and opportunities for career growth within our company. It is expected that this portfolio of responsibilities will grow along with the incumbent as mastery of basic functions is achieved.
General Responsibilities
- Provide coordination and support for all Company services including Value Engineering Studies, Facility Condition Assessments, Building Sustainability Consulting, Commissioning, and Engineering Design.
- Project administration and support.
- Document preparation and distribution.
- Meeting coordination.
- Note taking.
- Report preparation.
- Technical writing.
- Graphic support.
- Quality control.
- Data management utilizing software like Excel, Smartsheet, and Power BI.
- Research assistance.
- Consulting documentation support.
- Submittals.
- Research.
- Marketing support.
- Quality control of proposals, pamphlets, etc.
- Proposal and graphic support, primarily using InDesign.
- Event coordination.
- Schedule calendar of events.
- Expense tracking.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of organizational and support experience in a professional environment. Professional experience within the AEC industry is preferred.
- Passion for driving sustainable and regenerative outcomes in the built environment.
- Experience with green/sustainable building certifications, especially LEED, WELL, ILFI, Green Globes, etc is preferred.
- Self-motivated, and able to motivate others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with data management and technical writing.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and InDesign
- Willing and able to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Requirements
The employee will likely be required to sit at a desk and look at computer monitors for much of the day. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may also be required. During site visits, it is possible that the employee would be engaged in the following activities:
- Long periods of standing or walking.
- Intensive stair climbing.
- Climbing vertical or freestanding ladders, holding on to the top rung with one hand and lifting a ceiling tile or opening the roof hatch with the other, while carrying flashlights, tools, drawings, camera, and/or other items.
- Crawling over and under ductwork and piping in very cramped equipment utility rooms and mechanical mezzanines.
- Using tools to open equipment access doors.
- Walking on roofs, catwalks, and over parapets.
- Looking at details at very close or far distances.
- Listening and communicating in a loud environment.
- Using computers or other electronic devices away from a desk.
Salary Range
$75,000 - $85,000 annually depending on the experience, skillset, and location of the individual.
