The Role: What You'll Do

As Head of Growth, you will be a pivotal member of Scala's executive team, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll own the full commercial engine — from acquisition to retention — and drive the strategy that fuels Scala's next phase of growth. You'll lead all revenue-generating teams, align cross-functional efforts, and operationalize a modern, AI-powered go-to-market motion.

This is a hands-on role that blends strategic vision with tactical execution.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and execute a unified growth strategy that drives new customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.
  • Lead all revenue-generating functions, including sales, marketing, partnerships, and customer success.
  • Design a scalable go-to-market model that leverages AI to improve performance, targeting, and forecasting.
  • Define growth KPIs and financial metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, conversion rates) and ensure consistent delivery against targets.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap based on customer insights and market opportunities.

AI Implementation and Revenue Operations

  • Embed AI-driven processes across sales, marketing, and operations to enhance efficiency, predictability, and personalization.
  • Manage the growth technology stack, integrating tools for CRM, analytics, enablement, and automation.
  • Oversee data quality, pipeline visibility, and revenue forecasting accuracy.
  • Work with Product to drive feedback loops between customer usage data and growth strategy.

Market Expansion and Partnerships

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, verticals, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key enterprise customers and ecosystem partners.
  • Analyze trends, customer behavior, and competitive shifts to refine go-to-market priorities.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional growth organization.
  • Create a culture of accountability, experimentation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Implement training and methodologies that enable the team to sell and scale complex AI solutions.
  • Attract and retain top commercial, marketing, and success talent.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in B2B sales, marketing, or growth roles.
  • Proven track record scaling revenue for high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
  • Deep understanding of AI or related technology markets and their go-to-market dynamics.
  • Experience in general management, budgeting, and P&L ownership.
  • Expertise in data-driven decision-making, forecasting, and performance measurement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional influence skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience selling or marketing enterprise AI or SaaS products.
  • Familiarity with sales and growth frameworks such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, or SPICED.
  • Experience integrating AI or automation tools into commercial operations.

Salary Range

  • Base pay: $150 - $200k / year
  • Variable: $125 - $175k / year
  • Plus annual equity awards
