The International Leadership School (ILS) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Principal to join our leadership team. ILS serves students in grades K–12 and is committed to academic excellence, character development, and the integration of strong Islamic values throughout the learning experience.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Principal supports the Principal and school leadership team in ensuring a safe, positive, and effective learning environment for all students and staff. This role combines instructional leadership, teacher support, student engagement, and operational coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support teachers in maintaining high instructional and classroom management standards.
  • Conduct daily classroom observations, provide constructive feedback, and follow up with professional development goals.
  • Oversee student behavior, attendance, and overall well-being, ensuring a respectful and positive school climate.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration regarding student progress and school activities.
  • Assist in curriculum alignment, academic pacing, and assessment tracking.
  • Support coordination of school events, fire drills, field trips, and extracurricular programs.
  • Oversee lunch, hallway, and prayer-time supervision, ensuring safety and adherence to school expectations.
  • Facilitate staff meetings, teacher evaluations, and student recognition programs (Student of the Month, Class of the Month, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and communication logs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Valid Indiana Administrative License or willingness to pursue certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching or school leadership experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to Islamic values and holistic student development.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Experience in private or charter school settings.
  • Knowledge of DOE/Choice Scholarship compliance and Title programs.
  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude with the ability to motivate staff and students.

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $68, $82,303.91 per year

Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
