WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
As a Senior Salesforce Engineer you will be focused on driving the exceptional delivery of our Nike, Inc. Resilience Technology Platforms. We see you as a team member with strong communication and consulting skills as well as having hands-on experience developing, designing, configuring, and deploying deliverables within the salesforce cloud-based platform. This is a business-facing role responsible for understanding requirements, specifications + features and bringing them to life within Salesforce.
You will be technically competent in Salesforce Development and have the ability to clearly communicate strategy, vision and articulate roadmaps across our business function accountabilities. A customer service/customer satisfaction mindset is paramount.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON
Daily responsibilities will involve designing, developing, enhancing and maintaining Salesforce solutions in both QA and Production. Having the ability to easily troubleshoot issues or bring to life new capabilities and features will be key to your success. Partnering with your peers to provide first-line support for end users to include troubleshooting issues within Salesforce will assist in ensuring exceptional delivery across the portfolio.
You will be ahead of the game in all aspects, proactively analyzing data, working within the greater Nike Global Technology organization and across key business units to predict what comes next. You will be counted on to ask the right questions of other technical experts and strategic partners to bring solutions to Nike that makes our services a strategic advantage. An understanding of the importance
of documentation and its place in the delivery of technology is key.
You will often serve as the single point of contact between 3rd party service integrators and Nike business users on a day-to-day basis. Serve as the focal point for reporting incidents and processing enhancement requests as it relates to our production Salesforce Platforms. Participating in quarterly Program Increment (PI) Planning and Agile development sprints using an Agile product tool and/or Enterprise Service Management application while maintaining status and ensuring our stakeholders remain updated, is a must.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
You will have upwards of (16) teammates all reporting directly to the Director of Nike Resilience (OGC) Technology & Engineering. Each engineer with cross-functional capabilities and responsibilities, accountable to the holistic solutioning and delivery of our portfolio platforms. Primary focus will be on Nike Resilience products and services across all GEOs: North America, EMEA, APLA and Greater China.
You will have countless relationships within Nike, representing our Resilience goals and objectives globally in the planning, delivery, execution and daily support of all technology functions. A forward-looking mindset around automation and orchestration is strongly preferred.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer science, MIS, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
7+ years of technology experience in a medium or large organization
Experience developing data models to support business requirements, reporting and analytics while translating complex business needs and requirements into efficient and innovative salesforce solutions.
Ability to work and manage projects independently and able to answer the customer queries related to Project requirements and status.
Ability to implement business facing Salesforce solution projects that involve Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, sites, Chatter, AppExchange Packages, Large scale Data migration + API integrations.
Advanced testing and deployment strategies, including integration with GIT
Establish and maintain Salesforce implementation standards adopting best practices driven by Governor limits and low code approach + order of execution.
Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP/GraphQL APIs and event-driven patterns (platform events, AWS EventBridge,etc.).
In-depth understanding of Salesforce security features, permission sets, role hierarchies, and best practices for maintaining regulatory compliance ensuring Salesforce org remains resilient againstthreats and vulnerabilities.
Internally test/validate and manage the impact of Salesforce Release cycles while educating our partners on new features and capabilities post release.
Willingness to collaborate as "One Team" with other Salesforce Developers across our various "squads" to share, learn and adopt new ideas is REQUIRED.
The means to interpret and apply Nike policies and procedures. Examples include: applicable laws, rules, regulations and established corporate policies – ensuring compliance with these areas.
Passion for troubleshooting, investigation and performing root-cause analysis.
Experience in Agile delivery and Program Increment (PI) Planning
Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them to non-tech stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively
communicate with both business and cross-functional technology teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Salesforce Developer (DEV 501/Platform Developer I/II)
Proven experience developing custom Lightning Components (LWC & Aura framework), Visualforce, APEX, SOQL, SOSL, Salesforce APIs, Flows
Experience working with various Salesforce Deployment tools including manifests, sfdx CLI, and DevOps center. Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Experience with Large scale data migration using Data Loader, Data import wizard etc.
Certified Advanced Systems Administrator
Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Snowflake and Databricks
Proficient understanding of Git command line interface
Experience working with AppExchange Packages like Conga, AdobeSign etc.
