Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in vehicle maintenance and repair. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with various automotive systems, including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and electrical components. As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of our customers' vehicles.
Duties
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in various makes and models, with a focus on GM vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and adjustments.
- Interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
- Conduct alignments and ensure proper vehicle handling characteristics.
- Work with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to calibrate sensors and ensure functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members and provide updates on repair progress.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and procedures.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge of various automotive components, including engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Experience working with GM vehicles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective problem-solving.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- A commitment to providing high-quality service to customers while ensuring their safety on the road.
