POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Sourcing – Electrical to lead sourcing strategy and execution for all electrical components, systems, and services across our projects. This role will drive category strategy, supplier development, and enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives that support Moss's business objectives. The Director will serve as a key leader in aligning sourcing with operations, ensuring cost competitiveness, supplier reliability, and risk mitigation, while advancing Moss's commitment to safety, quality, and innovation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for electrical components
  • Establish policies, standards, tools and best practices for electrical sourcing to ensure alignment with Moss's business goals
  • Partner with executive leadership to support enterprise-level supply chain planning and category management
  • Supplier & Market Management
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with key electrical suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors
  • Negotiate high-value, multi-year contracts and strategic partnerships to secure competitive pricing, terms, and supply continuity
  • Lead supplier risk assessment and mitigation efforts to ensure resilience in the global supply chain.
  • Monitor market trends, industry innovation, and cost drivers in the electrical sector to inform business decisions
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, preconstruction, early stage, project management, and field operations to ensure sourcing strategies support project requirements
  • Provide executive-level guidance on sourcing decisions and vendor selection
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for critical supplier or sourcing issues
  • Team Development & Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical sourcing professionals to deliver world-class performance
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the sourcing team
  • Partner with HR and leadership to build organizational capacity in sourcing and supply chain management
  • Operational Excellence
  • Drive implementation of Supplier Relationship Management programs, including performance scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, trade, and quality standards for all electrical sourcing activities
  • Oversee execution of sourcing initiatives to ensure alignment with project milestones and company objectives

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on sourcing
  • Proven expertise in managing electrical equipment, systems, and services sourcing within construction or renewable energy industries
  • Strong background in supplier negotiations, vendor relationship management, and global supply chain risk mitigation
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills with the ability to influence at the executive level
  • Professional certifications preferred: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent
