This Position...
As the Technical Sales Representative IV, you are responsible for directly calling on, selling to, and creating strategies to meet or exceed the annual operating and rolling strategic plan for LB Foster EnviroKeeper stormwater system and other precast products, and its emerging and primary customer segments. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining favorable relationships with current and potential customers, engineering firms and contractors, and identifying new markets to increase regional sales volume and integrating new technical innovation resulting in the diversification of the LB Foster precast products customer base.
Some examples of the work you might do includes....
Sales and marketing of LB Foster precast EnviroKeeper stormwater system and other precast products.
Develop and build strong relationships within the engineering, contractors, distributors and regulatory communities and leverage relationships to promote LB Foster precast products for current and future projects.
Provide technical support and training to external engineers, contractors, distributors, and regulatory communities, as well as internal sales, project management and engineering teams.
Effectively maintain and develop relationships with key decision-makers in target accounts to support geographical expansion initiatives.
Have strong operating knowledge of water distribution opportunities, civil engineering plan sets, and contractor installation means and methods.
Subject matter expert on all precast products manufactured by LB Foster, and responsible for obtaining new knowledge regarding emerging markets.
Collaborate with production and engineering to ensure design of the best and most cost-effective solution(s) for the customers unique applications.
Drive the bidding process to customers either directly or through engineering firms and work with production, supply chain, engineering, and logistics to ensure LB Foster presents the most competitive and comprehensive bid possible, while ensuring every account receives the highest level of customer service and quality product.
Work directly with Engineering and Project Manager(s) to identify technical requirements, regulatory obligations, and specifications in core and new markets to obtain bid packages and RFQ's.
Formulate, develop, and coordinate the delivery of value-driven strategies for existing and potential new customers to achieve new business objectives.
Manage all projects in CRM database and update projects to reflect an accurate status and to deal with conversions of projects to completion.
Provide month-end update reports to leadership.
Create strategies and develop KPIs using market information and customer feedback to advance corporate business objectives.
Mentoring of lower-level Technical Sales Representatives in processes, sales strategies, reporting and product knowledge.

What Do You Need...
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related field required.
- 8 years of experience in precast stormwater product markets including sales, design, and/or production.
- 5 years of experience in other precast product sales, design and/or production preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), SAP experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with prospecting, lead generation, market research, strategy creation, and forecasting.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen about sales and marketing, and the civil infrastructure construction market, and be knowledgeable in current and possible future industry trends. Experience with storm water management systems
- Ability to work with engineering firms to specify stormwater products in the markets

- Be pro-active, self-motivated and self-starter who is action oriented and results driven.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 50% or as required by the manager.
