Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. Experience is not needed but preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the accounts payable ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Reconcille all statements including Credit Cards.
  • Maintain Truck Logs
  • Collaborate with Controller to address inquiries related to payments and vendor accounts.
  • Utilize accounting software, Sage, for data entry and reporting. Expericence with Sage is not needed but would be helpful.
  • Assist with various Accounting Department needs when needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role is preferred but not neccesary. We will train you.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting would be helpful but not neccesary.
  • Proficiency in data entry with excellent 10-key typing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills would be a great plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
