Position Purpose

At Saint Mary's Hospital, the Nursing Supervisor (House) serves as the on-site leadership presence during nights, weekends, and holidays. This role ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across all units by coordinating nursing operations, supporting staff, and resolving clinical and administrative issues. The supervisor acts as a resource for nursing teams and collaborates with other departments to maintain continuity of care and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

  • Support and guide nursing staff across departments.

  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.

  • Resolve clinical and operational issues in real time.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

  • Current Connecticut RN license.

Preferred:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient acute care nursing and leadership roles such as Critical Care, Charge Nurse, or Assistant Nurse Manager.

  • BLS or CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

  • Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS).

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

  • Support available for certifications post-hire.

Position Highlights and Benefits

  • Part-Time: 24 Hours/Week – Night Shift.

  • Schedule will be a combination of 8-hour and/or 12-hour shifts. Will require rotating weekends and holidays

  • Hourly position, eligible for overtime, holiday pay, and shift differentials.

  • Compensation Range: $44.05 min - $70.50 max.
