Content & App Manager

Heaven at Hand – Christian Content Platform

Part or Full-Time | Remote | U.S.-Based Preferred

About Heaven at Hand

Heaven at Hand is a new digital platform designed to bring Christians closer to the voices, communities, and resources that matter most. Our app aggregates live church services, Christian authors, speakers, musicians, world news, social feeds, and curated faith-based content into one unified experience. We're preparing for launch and need a dedicated Content & App Manager to help us build a rich, engaging environment before churches and creators begin claiming their profiles.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and mission-aligned Content & App Manager to oversee the creation, management, and optimization of profiles and content within the Heaven at Hand platform. This role is responsible for shaping much of the initial experience for users: building church pages, populating contributor profiles, uploading live-service schedules, curating content categories, and ensuring the app feels full, relevant, and alive from day one.

This is part content-operations, part data management, part editorial curation, and part community-building. Ideal for someone who understands the Christian landscape and has a strong eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Profile Creation

  • Build comprehensive church profiles, including service times, bios, mission statements, locations, and media links.
  • Create profiles for authors, pastors, worship artists, speakers, Christian media publishers, and other content contributors.
  • Upload and format live service schedules, event information, sermon libraries, and other time-based content.

Content Aggregation & Curation

  • Research and gather Christian content from reputable sources:
  • Live and on-demand church streams
  • Christian world news outlets
  • Book publishers and authors
  • Worship music creators
  • Podcasts, devotionals, and video series
  • Organize content into categories that enhance discovery and engagement.
  • Ensure all content meets brand, theological, and quality guidelines.

App Management & Operations

  • Maintain a high-quality, accurate database of churches and contributors.
  • Collaborate with product/engineering teams to improve workflows and identify content gaps.
  • Monitor the app for broken links, outdated schedules, or missing information.
  • Ensure all profile pages follow a consistent layout and standard.

Community Readiness & Growth

  • Prepare profiles and assets in a way that encourages churches and creators to claim their accounts.
  • Assist in onboarding new partners as they join the platform.
  • Help develop early strategies for user engagement and content expansion.

Quality Assurance

  • Proof content for accuracy, formatting consistency, and theological appropriateness.
  • Maintain a clean, organized content structure across the platform.

Ideal Candidate

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in content operations, content management, editorial work, or app/database administration.
  • Strong research skills and comfort working with large sets of information.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with church livestream platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, ChurchOnline, Subsplash, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate Christian media landscapes (authors, worship artists, ministries, denominations, major churches).

Personal Attributes

  • Strong alignment with Christian mission and values.
  • Self-starter who thrives in an early-stage environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to manage a digital platform.
  • Comfortable working independently with weekly deliverables.

Compensation & Role Details

  • Full-time or contractor-to-hire depending on experience
  • Competitive compensation based on skill set
  • Remote-first role
