Job Overview

Progreso Construction of North Miami is looking for a hands-on, experienced Construction Field Manager to lead day-to-day operations across our active job sites. In this role, you'll take ownership of field performance coordinating crews, subcontractors, materials, and schedules to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on budget.

You'll be the key link between the office and the field translating blueprints into action, overseeing daily Site Operations Assign and review daily tasks with crew members. Make sure everyone has the correct tools, materials, and PPE. Keep the site clean, organized, and safe throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Coordination

Follow the weekly work schedule and daily goals set by the Project Manager. Coordinate task order between trades (framers, drywall, painters, etc.). Confirm delivery times for materials and equipment. Notify the Project Manager of any delays, issues, or inspection needs. Work directly with vendors and inspectors on-site as needed.

Quality Control

Inspect all work for accuracy and quality. Verify that the right materials and installation methods are used. Report and correct any deficiencies immediately. Take daily photos and notes of progress for the office. Assist in preparing and completing punch lists.

Communication & Reporting

Complete and submit the daily field report including: Crew attendance Work completed Weather conditions Deliveries or inspections Issues or delays Stay in regular contact with the Project Manager. Holding short end-of-day meetings with crew to review progress.

Documentation

Keep permit sets, inspection reports, and submittals on-site and up to date. Collect daily time sheets, delivery tickets, and receipts. Track material inventory and tool use. Verify that all subcontractors sign in and meet insurance requirements.

Inspections & Closeout

Prepare the site for inspections and walk through with inspectors. Fix punch list items promptly and confirm completion. Take final photos for project closeout. Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are returned. Confirm the site is cleaned and ready for turnover.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of field construction experience (residential, commercial or restoration) with increasing responsibility in supervisory or manager roles.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules and construction documents.
  • Familiarity with framing, metal building erection, concrete forming, finishing trades, site logistics and general construction workflows.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Travel between sites will be required.
  • OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety credentials (preferred).
