Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $180,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily accounting operations and oversee month end close processes for operational areas.
  • Oversee deposit related regulatory reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting activity by reviewing monthly and quarterly general ledger variance analyses.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedural documentation.
  • Review and prepare schedules and supporting reports for internal stakeholders and external auditors.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate advanced analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills to support complex operational accounting functions.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and cross functional teams to support financial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments while leading teams through change and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills and work confidently with ERP systems and automation tools.
  • Adapt quickly within a fast growing environment while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or public company environments.
  • Possess strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements for financial institutions.
  • Leverage experience in banking or financial services to support operational accounting.
  • Maintain a CPA license or MBA as a preferred qualification, with proven experience leading accounting teams.
