Role Overview

The Director of Product Management - Data as a Service (DaaS) will shape and execute Zema Global's product strategy for market-leading energy and commodities data solutions. Reporting to the Head of Product Management, you will own the full product lifecycle for critical data offerings, driving innovation, adoption and monetization while ensuring alignment with customer needs and market dynamics.

We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in energy analytics, data-driven SaaS solutions, and commodity markets. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on product leadership, and deep knowledge of the energy analytics landscape.

This is a strategic role for a product leader who thrives on translating complex market insights into actionable, customer-focused data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to define product strategies that align with business goals and customer needs.
• Product Development: Manage the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring products meet quality standards and timelines.
• Customer Insights: Engage with customers to gather feedback and insights, translating them into actionable product requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, and UX/UI teams to deliver user-centric products.
• Market Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor offerings to inform product decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor product performance and iterate based on user feedback and data analytics.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the energy, commodities, or data analytics industries.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Experience with data platforms, analytics tools, and cloud technologies.
• Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
• Location: Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to one of the preferred locations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with data governance and compliance in the energy and commodities sectors.
• Background in Agile product development methodologies.
• Familiarity with autonomous data products and data mesh architectures.
