Café Barista

All Good Cafe is seeking a full-time Barista with open availability to join our team located at The Barnett Hotel. This position is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers according to recipes and standards of All Good. Must be able to work as part of a team to help take orders, preparing beverages and providing timely, courteous and efficient service to customers to ensure they have a joyous experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and beverage orders
- Preparing and serving beverages such as drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, matcha, boba and other specialty drinks
- Preparing and serving food items such as sandwiches, pastries, and grab-and-go items
- Answering customer questions about menu items and ingredients
- Promoting and recommending menu options to guests to drive sales
- Taking payment and accurately handling cash or POS transactions
- Maintaining espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs as needed
- Keeping the work environment, café counters, and seating area clean, sanitary, and organized
- Responding promptly to and resolving customer concerns or complaints
- Receiving, preparing, and delivering room service orders promptly and professionally
- Ensuring accuracy of orders and providing a positive in-room dining experience for hotel guests
- Performing other duties as assigned to support café and hotel operations
Requirements and skills:
Previous work experience as a Barista
Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
Knowledge of sanitation regulations
Flexible to work a variety of shifts between 5:00 AM and 9:00 PM
Basic math skills
Ability to gauge customers' preferences
Excellent communication skills
High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
