Ecommerce Operations Assistant

that can support our ecommerce team with day-to-day tasks, vendor ordering, customer service, and order fulfillment, as we continue to grow.

Role Overview

The Ecommerce Operations Assistant will support the operations team across a variety of functions—from helping process and track orders to managing customer inquiries across Amazon, Walmart, and Shopify. This is an entry-level role with opportunities for growth. No prior ecommerce experience is required, but strong computer skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are essential. We're looking for someone reliable, extremely organized, upbeat, has the ability to ruthlessly prioritize tasks, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working with both data and people.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop valuable skills by working closely with a team of ecommerce experts. You'll be exposed to the inner workings of high-volume ecommerce operations and learn best practices that can help launch a career in online retail, logistics, or operations management. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place weekly vendor orders for 20+ brands across dozens of plants based on inventory, sell-through rate, order lead time, and other variables
  • Forecast sales and orders based on seasonality, advertising, and Featured Offer availability
  • Provide customer service support on Amazon and Walmart by responding to messages, phone calls, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Process customer returns
  • Monitor seller feedback and reviews; open cases to dispute unfair or incorrect feedback
  • Order shipping boxes for all warehouses
  • Organize and distribute printed shipping labels to the correct fulfillment personnel
  • Assist with FBA prep and completion as needed (labeling, boxing, packing)
  • Support the operations team in order distribution, shipment planning, and inventory tasks
  • Maintain detailed records of customer issues, resolutions, and ongoing case statuses
  • Support review of FBA and FBM performance metrics and flag issues to the team
  • Learn and use platforms like ShipStation, Amazon Seller Central, and Walmart Seller Center
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance, etc.)
  • Comfortable analyzing data to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effectively manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work onsite full-time, with rare weekend availability (WFH)
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional in conduct

Preferred:

  • Experience working in ecommerce or retail (Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, etc.)
  • Familiarity with online customer service platforms
  • Previous experience in a fulfillment, warehouse, or fast-paced office environment
  • Comfort using software tools like ShipStation or Amazon Seller Central
