Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Part time

Rate of Pay: $25-$30/hr

Job Overview

F.I.R.S.T. First In Rescue, Safety, and Training is looking for qualified and motivated Emergency Medical Technicians to join our team. This is a part time position initially and hours may range from 20-40 hrs per week depending on job schedule and availability.

Responsibilities for EMT

  • Administer COVID-19 Nasal Swap tests (Case by Case)
  • Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care
  • Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate approved protocol, techniques and equipment
  • Documentation of patient information, condition, and treatment within approved format
  • Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and perform all care with respect for patient rights
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
  • Provide basic life support and gather patient data

Qualifications for EMT

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Current EMT certification/license in the state of Texas
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of practice
  • 1 year of experience in an emergency care setting preferred
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined protocols, policies and procedures
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment
