Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The consultant will report to the Vice President, HRBP, and will partner with business leaders, with an initial/ primary focus on Development and cross-functional HR teams to help drive and facilitate in a variety of initiatives but not limited to performance management, employee engagement, workforce and succession planning. This position requires a minimum of 30 hours per week.
The Opportunity:
- Operate as a trusted advisor and build relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution. Areas of expertise include performance management and coaching, counseling, and mentoring people leaders in leadership and team development.
- Conduct deep and thorough diagnosis on organizational structure and leadership assessment to ensure the Development function is scale for long term success.
- Coach leaders on effective change management strategies and interventions such as development and implementation of strategies that will enable the function to thrive through periods of change.
- Act as a trusted member of the leadership team(s) to guide leaders, support team(s), and build awareness and engagement of functional or organizational initiatives and programs.
- Provide support addressing employee relations and investigation concerns in accordance with internal policies and local/ regional legislation.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) and business to ensure effective and timely delivery of HR programs and initiatives like performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement.
- Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition team and functional leaders to execute recruitment strategies and grow talent and technical capability pipelines in support of the business.
- On-site presence 2 to 3 days per week required.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
- 10+ years of progressive HRBP experience in a high growth with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience working in a small and mid-size biotech organization is a must.
- Good biotech or pharma business acumen and ability to translate strategic priorities with organizational effectiveness and development, capabilities, and interdependencies.
- Proven strategic HRBP focus of aligning culture with business goals, displaying strong consultative, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience building strong partnerships across functional teams and at all levels of leadership with excellent collaboration, influencing, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Forward thinking, ability to exercise good judgement, and make decisions that are appropriate for the organization.
- Accustomed to working in a matrixed and dynamic environment where accountability, change agility, flexibility, urgency, and responsiveness are valued.
- Good project management skills with the ability to manage big projects or program implementations, including development of clear timelines/milestones.
- Strong analytical capability, effective at diagnosing organizational issues and demonstrated skill in use and application of data to address issues.
- Strive for continuous improvement and embrace innovative ideas in daily work.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience as an HRBP at a similarly sized biotech company, with rapid growth and first NDA / Commercialization.
- Experience building and implementing processes across the HR function to support cross-functional HR effectiveness.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, legislation, and best practice.
This is a contract position that will be employed through a third-party recruiting agency. The agency will provide the pay range, which will be based on several factors, including job-related skills, experience, market conditions, and relevant education or training.
