Communications Coordinator/Designer – 3 Month Contract-To-Hire

Are you ready to join a vibrant, creative team at one of Kansas City's standout boutique agencies? We are working with our client to find a Communications Coordinator/Designer with both strategic and creative skills to support corporate communications, design advertising campaigns, assist with events, and coordinate projects. This is a 3-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity.

You'll work closely with agency clients, vendors, and independent partners in a collaborative environment. This role is on-site M-T (Remote on Friday) at their very cool office in the River Market. Position Responsibilities

  • Follow brand standards to create graphics and visual assets for social media, print, digital, presentations and more
  • Resize and adapt existing creative assets for various platforms and formats
  • Coordinate public meetings and special events
  • Assist with new business activities including proposals and research
  • Manage client assets: organize file libraries, track project statuses and deadlines, etc.
  • Proofread agency work
  • Coordinate projects with external vendors and subcontractors
  • Provide general administrative/office support

Key Requirements and Competencies

  • 1-3 years prior experience
  • Proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) creating both printed and digital materials
  • Proven experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • A portfolio of relevant graphic design samples
  • Strong written and personal communications skills
  • Work independently yet be able and willing to collaborate with others
  • Juggle multiple projects at once
  • Thrive in a deadline-driven environment
  • Present a professional image and upbeat attitude
  • Degree in Journalism, Advertising or Communications
