Overview
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Research Associate II / Associate Scientist II
to join our Research Department. This individual will play a key role in supporting our biology group focused on CNS and emerging tissue research. The ideal candidate is a proactive, highly organized team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced laboratory environment.

Cambridge, MA
location, requiring presence in the lab
five days per week
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and execution of studies to characterize molecules for RNAi therapeutic programs, including rodent disease models.
  • Perform animal tissue processing (grinding, homogenization, RNA extraction, etc.).
  • Conduct molecular and biochemical assays (qPCR, Western blot, ELISA) in support of in vivo studies.
  • Analyze and report scientific data to management and research teams.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols with precision.
  • Maintain accurate and organized sample tracking in databases such as ELN, LIMS, Smart Refrigeration, Smartsheets, and other proprietary systems.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and adapt to evolving project priorities.
  • Communicate proactively to provide efficient and practical solutions for laboratory workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in a life sciences discipline (e.g., Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills in a collaborative research environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to data integrity and scientific rigor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and GraphPad Prism.
  • Experience with laboratory automation or liquid handling systems is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing scientific environment.
