Position Summary:

The Childcare Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, administration, and educational programs of the childcare center. This role ensures compliance with all state licensing regulations, maintains a safe and nurturing environment for children, manages staff, and builds strong relationships with families and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily center operations in accordance with state and local childcare licensing requirements.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate staff to ensure quality care and professional growth.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Maintain enrollment levels through family engagement, marketing, and community outreach.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment at all times.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, billing, and financial reports.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Handle scheduling, classroom ratios, and staff coverage efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records for attendance, incident reports, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (required or preferred depending on state).
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of childcare management or teaching experience.
  • Credentials: Florida Director's Credential
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of childcare licensing standards, curriculum development, and staff supervision.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification .

Work Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday. We do not require you to open but you must be there at closing. Some evening or weekend availability may be required for events or training.
