IT Tech Support Associate
Department: Administration
Location: Cast Technologies, Inc. – Peoria, IL
Summary: The IT Tech Support Associate assists with the day-to-day technical operations at Cast Technologies. This role supports employees with software, and coordinating with our IT vendor, Mavidia for complex or escalated issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide daily technical support for computers, printers, and devices.
- Set up and configure new workstations, monitors, and peripheral equipment.
- Manage basic user account tasks (password resets, access changes, etc.).
- Assist in maintaining shared drives, networked printers, and phone systems.
- Work with Mavidia to report and document technical issues that require escalation.
- Ensure all devices remain secure, updated, and in proper working order.
- Maintain IT supply inventory (keyboards, mice, cables, etc.).
- Support software updates and assist with employee technology onboarding.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networks.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users.
- Previous experience in help desk, technical support, or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of the Odyssey program is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or tech coursework a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and perform basic equipment setup.
