What You'll Do

  • Process end-to-end multi-state U.S. payroll for semi-monthly and bi-weekly cycles with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support monthly international payroll cycles in partnership with our global payroll provider.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring data accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Assist in preparing payroll journal entries in NetSuite and support payroll-related account reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations—including new state setups, W2s, tax notices, and required filings.
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for payroll inquiries, providing clear and helpful guidance to employees.
  • Support payroll system maintenance, working with People Operations to ensure data is correct and up to date.
  • Collaborate with People Ops, Talent, Compensation, and Finance teams to provide payroll-related information as needed.
  • Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and support internal payroll controls.
  • Assist with audit requests, documentation, and global tax compliance requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on payroll experience.
  • Strong understanding of multi-state payroll regulations, pay practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with major payroll systems and a willingness to learn new tools (Rippling experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with preparing payroll account reconciliations and payroll-related journal entries.
  • High attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain payroll concepts in a simple, supportive way.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt quickly, and deliver in a fast-paced setting.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field preferred.
  • CPP certification or international payroll experience is a plus.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to see tasks through from start to finish.
