This position contributes to a range of project phases, including conceptual design, detailed engineering, equipment procurement, construction support, and commissioning. The role involves preparing design documentation, reviewing vendor data, performing engineering calculations, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and client requirements. Assignments may include both office-based design and occasional field work or plant support.
Responsibilities

o Support design reviews and coordination across disciplines (mechanical, civil, automation, instrumentation).
o Create and maintain engineering specifications, material lists, and construction documents in accordance with customer and industry standards.
o Participate in the development and refinement of internal electrical design standards, details, and templates.
§ Project Execution:
o Perform mid-level engineering calculations to support load studies, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, and conduit/cable sizing. Assist in the evaluation and selection of electrical equipment and components (e.g., transformers, VFDs, switchgear, relays, lighting, and control devices).
o Conduct reviews of vendor submittals to ensure alignment with project specifications and application requirements.
o Support development and validation of bills of materials and I/O lists, and coordinate with procurement and construction teams.
o Participate in project meetings, provide design updates, and assist with technical coordination between stakeholders.

§ Remain current on industry trends, materials, and code updates relevant to electrical design.
§ While this is a non-supervisory role, the Electrical Engineer provides technical input to drafting personnel and may serve as a resource to junior team members.
§ Perform additional duties and special projects as needed to support departmental or company objectives.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, & Licensure
§ Education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent knowledge and experience emphasizing electric power systems and design.
