Job Description:

This is a
non-exempt
position responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. The role involves
assembly, repair, and testing
of pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related assemblies, following standardized procedures under close supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine assembly, repair, and test operations per established procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date job documentation and ensure product traceability.
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturing management and team members.
  • Follow all
    safety and quality guidelines
    ; use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Participate in
    continuous improvement
    and
    Lean Manufacturing
    initiatives.
  • Support divisional goals related to
    Quality Management Systems (QMS)
    and
    Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
    .
  • Assist supervisors in achieving cell performance metrics and quality goals.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Proficient with electronic data collection systems and basic computer tools.
  • Strong attention to detail; able to handle and assemble small parts.
  • Capable of prioritizing work and making decisions with minimal supervision.

  • Clothing must be
    non-shedding, clean, and free of frayed hems or loose fibers
    .
  • No
    glitter, tassels, fleece, or loose-knit fabrics.
  • All garments must fit
    under lab coats/gowns
    ; sleeves and collars must not extend beyond.
  • Closed-toe, flat shoes
    are required; no sandals, clogs, or heels over 2 inches.
  • No nail polish, artificial nails, or visible jewelry
    .
  • No makeup or scented products
    , except deodorant.
  • Head coverings (for cultural reasons) must be clean, tightly woven, and covered with a bouffant.
