We are proud of the team-oriented and employee-empowered business approach that defines our unique character.The Instructional Designer (ID) will be responsible for designing and developing learning experiences in the form of instructional material, training courses, video training and other multimedia technologies. The Instructional Designer will work with other departments to determine what employees need to learn so they can successfully complete all job functions. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for determining learning objectives, writing content, structuring learning activities, and aids for both face-to-face and virtual interactions. The Instructional Designer will also develop assessments to measure learning and will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within various business units to ensure alignment with business objectives and meets any appropriate compliance requirements.Duties & ScopeNeeds Assessment: Conduct thorough needs analyses to identify educational gaps and determine the learning objectives, target audience, and optimal instructional strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and performance goalsCurriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive curriculum frameworks and detailed instructional materials for various learning modalities (e.g., online, blended, in-person); translate complex technical or operational concepts into clear learning materialsProject Management: Lead and manage instructional design projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with educational goals and standards, within scope and budgetContent Creation and Revision: Develop, review, and revise educational content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with instructional goals and learning outcomesLearning Technologies Integration: Utilize and integrate appropriate learning technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance the learning experience and achieve instructional goalsStakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure the instructional materials meet the desired learning outcomes and adhere to best practicesEvaluation and Assessment: Design and implement assessment tools and methods to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and make data-driven improvements based on feedback and performance metricsQualificationsTechnical ID skills: Proficiency in e-learning authoring software such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and similar toolsKnowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and multimedia development softwareStrong communication and presentation skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and stakeholders. Ability to present complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise mannerStrategic thinking: Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze training needs, identify innovative solutions, and drive performance improvementProject management: Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlinesAdaptability and innovation: Proactive approach to learning and applying new technologies, instructional design trends, and emerging methodologies to enhance training programsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environmentRequired Education & ExperienceFour-Year College Degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience5+ years of experience in instructional design with a focus on digital and blended learning solutionsExperience in both Instructor-led Training (ILT), Virutal, and E-Learning spaceStrong skills in E-Learning Authoring Tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, CamtasiaProven track record of leading and executing large-scale learning projectsExperience with learning management systems (LMS) and virtual learning platformsTrack record of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office applications, collaboration platforms and learning design programsPhysical DemandsN (Not Applicable) -Activity is not applicable to this occupationO (Occasionally) -Occupation requires this activity up to 33% of the time hrs/day)F (Frequently) -Occupation requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time hrs/day)C (Constantly) -Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)Bending - OClimbing – NCrawling - NHearing - FLifting - O >30 lbs - OReach Outward - OStanding - OSitting - CTalking - FSquat/Kneel - OWalking - OReach Above Shoulder - OThe starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $70,000.00 and $115,000.00 per year. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
