**Overview** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a vital part of our internal medicine practice, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while supporting our doctors and medical staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills, a thorough understanding of medical terminology, and a passion for working in a fast-paced urgent care environment. **Responsibilities** Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient exams, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical history and test results. Perform routine medical procedures, such as injections, EKGs, and phlebotomy, under the supervision of licensed medical professionals. Provide exceptional patient care, including answering patient questions, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive patient experience. Manage patient flow, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic operation. Perform administrative tasks, such as managing medical records, preparing insurance claims, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Assist with X-rays and other imaging procedures as needed. Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure that all medical needs are met. Provide support with inpatient and outpatient care, as needed. **Experience** 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an internal medicine practice, urgent care, or hospital setting. Strong background in medical terminology and patient care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other medical software. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in medical assisting or a related field preferred. **Skills** Proficiency in taking vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Knowledge of medical terminology and internal medicine procedures. Ability to perform X-rays and other imaging procedures. Familiarity with hospital and urgent care settings. Strong administrative support skills. Ability to work well in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $19.30 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
