Our AiSight platforms and AI products promise substantial improvements to the accuracy of diagnosis and the efficacy of treatment of diseases like cancer, leveraging modern approaches in machine learning. Our team, comprising diverse employees with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, is passionate about solving challenging problems and making a huge impact.
Where You Fit
We're looking for an experienced engineering leader to join our team and help scale and evolve our engineering organization. This Associate Director/Director will oversee multiple engineering squads focused on the continued development, performance, and scalability of our AiSight Platform. You'll work closely with product, commercial, clinical affairs, quality, regulatory, and business operations teams to ensure our technology not only meets today's needs but also scales for the future.
The successful candidate will provide technical and organizational leadership, drive execution on key engineering initiatives, and cultivate an environment of excellence and innovation. This is an opportunity to work on serious technical challenges in healthcare while collaborating cross-functionally across a wide variety of stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and grow multiple engineering squads responsible for core components of PathAI's AiSight Platform.
- Provide technical direction and architectural guidance to ensure our platform is scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Partner with product, design, and science teams to translate business and scientific requirements into robust engineering solutions.
- Drive execution of engineering initiatives, ensuring timely delivery against business objectives while maintaining high technical standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (commercial, clinical, pathology, operations) to align engineering priorities with organizational strategy.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence within the engineering team.
What You'll Need
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in engineering leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple teams or squads delivering complex, enterprise-grade software products.
- Proven track record of working cross-functionally across product, science, and business stakeholders.
- Strong technical foundation in modern software architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Experience building scalable, secure, and compliant systems in healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational leadership skills; ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- A passion for mentoring engineers and developing high-performing teams.
We Want to Hear From You
At PathAI, we are looking for individuals who are team players, are willing to do the work no matter how big or small it may be, and who are passionate about everything they do. If this sounds like you, even if you may not match the job description to a tee, we encourage you to apply. You could be exactly what we're looking for.
PathAI is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to creating a workplace that is free of harassment and discrimination. We base our employment decisions on business needs, job requirements, and qualifications — that's all.
