Job Description
Job Summary
As the Director of Marketing & Communications, this leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for all marketing and communications efforts across American Pride Bank and its holding company, American Bancorp. The position blends high-level strategy with hands-on execution and aims to elevate brand visibility.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
? Create and implement a comprehensive communications plan to support American Pride Bank's goals, covering short- and long-term campaigns and initiatives.
? Oversee development of brand positioning and messaging in collaboration with senior leadership.
? Identify key audiences and develop strategies to enhance engagement and collaboration.
? Create and manage the design and content strategy for web, digital, and social media channels, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
? Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communications strategies in advancing business goals. Adjust based on these results.
? Lead strategy to strengthen American Pride Bank's reputation and brand equity, monitor reputation and proactively mitigate reputational risk.
? Collaborate with internal teams to advance business goals.
? Conduct research and track down facts for internal use.
Implementation:
? Lead the content development, design, and production of print and marketing materials, including reports, newsletters, ads, investor and advisor materials, and brochures.
? Amplify key messages through channels like social media, digital signage, emails, and newsletters.
? Lead media relations, acting as the main contact for the press and building positive relationships with media professionals.
? Strategically place ads and sponsorships to reach target audiences.
? Support executive communications through development of presentations, speeches, articles, and newsletters.
? Manage communications for special projects.
? Craft and deliver clear communications, including executive messages, business updates, and employee event announcements.
? Draft press releases, talking points, bylines, and other written materials.
? Support both proactive and reactive external communications.
Leadership and Organizational Support:
? Serve as a senior communications advisor to American Pride Bank's leadership.
? Participate in organizational leadership and strategic planning as needed.
? Serve as the main point of contact for agency partners and peer organization communications staff.
? Build strong relationships with community leaders, partners, and stakeholders to promote American Pride Bank's mission.
? Represent American Pride Bank at external and community events as needed.
Marketing:
Accountable for managing the overall brand growth, strategy, and budget to include:

Campaign Execution:
Develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media platforms.

Content Creation:
Write clear, compelling copy for a variety of marketing materials including emails, website copy, blogs, advertisements, social media, and more.

Graphic Design:
Design marketing collateral using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring all assets align with our brand guidelines and strategic goals.

Brand Consistency:
Ensure all marketing materials, both digital and print, accurately reflect the American Pride Bank brand and messaging.

Website Management:
Collaborate with departments to keep our website up to date, with timely notifications from the bank and updated content about bank goings-on.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in marketing /communications preferred.
? 6 years marketing experience working in Financial Services or Mortgage Communications is preferred.
? Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team.
? Proficiency in
Canva
and
Adobe Creative Suite
(InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). Familiarity with
Generative AI (GenAI)
tools for content generation and optimization.
? Graphic and visual design skills and abilities.
? Experience developing and implementing comprehensive communications plans including experience with content development and creative project management and execution including social media management, newsletter production, content management tools, graphic design, photography and video production.
? Experience in media relations and public relations.
? Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Travel Requirements:
? Approximately 25%.
Compensation & Benefits:
? Salary: Starting at $90,000.
