Park City Culinary Institute is seeking an
exceptional Chef Instructor
with the versatility to teach both cuisine
and
pastry in a hands-on, high-quality professional culinary program.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about teaching, skilled across multiple disciplines, and excited to help shape the next generation of culinary professionals.
Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
- Teach professional-level classes in both cuisine and pastry.
- Deliver lessons on food science, baking theory, and the properties of doughs including laminated dough, pâte à choux, and meringue-based preparations.
- Demonstrate and guide students through signature pastry techniques (macarons, éclairs, croissants, plated desserts, etc.).
- Teach modern plating, presentation, and culinary artistry.
- Evaluate student performance and provide supportive, constructive feedback.
Kitchen & Facility Management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized learning environment.
- Assist with purchasing, receiving, and inventory management.
- Manage rotation of perishables and ensure full compliance with food safety standards.
- Perform light maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Help coordinate and train kitchen assistants, interns, and part-time staff.
Team & Culture
- Collaborate with fellow instructors on lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Uphold the Institute's standards of professionalism, creativity, and excellence.
- Participate in culinary events, demos, and community outreach as needed.
Qualifications
- Professional experience in both culinary and pastry within a high-level kitchen.
- Prior teaching or training experience strongly preferred.
- Expertise with laminated doughs, pâte à choux, meringues, and modern pastry techniques.
- Strong presentation, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to multitask and support overall kitchen and facility operations.
- Reliable, organized, and committed to providing a premium student experience.
